OUT is recruiting for a new LGBT youth mental health project

OUT LGBT Well-being offers programmes to address the health, well-being and human rights needs of LGBT communities in South Africa.

About the project

OUT aims to address the mental well-being of young LGBT people in Atteridgeville and Mamelodi through a community-based pilot project, called “The Bazwa Project”. The project will focus on offering free mental well-being services through:

  1. A WhatsApp mental well-being support platform, and
  2. A family peer mental well-being support model

What we are looking for

  • Young LGBT people in Atteridgeville and Mamelodi aged 18 to 24 years to participate in testing the WhatsApp mental well-being services platform.
  • Family caregivers (parents, guardians) of LGBT adolescents aged 10 to 17 years in Atteridgeville and Mamelodi to participate in the family peer support model.

If you are interested in participating in this LGBT youth mental health project and receiving these free services, please email adminpta@out.org.za or WhatsApp 071 689 8889.
