OUT Annual Board Meeting paves the path for 2023

The board and management of OUT LGBT Well-being recently met in Pretoria for an annual review of the progress in implementing our five-year plan and to set out priorities for the year ahead.

Department and project heads shared their successes and challenges and outlined the performance of OUT’s various programmes. These include much-needed sexual health, mental health, and LGBTQ+ human rights initiatives.

Governance and adoption of new and revised policies were further topics of discussion.

The two-day gathering was also an opportunity for several new board members to meet the team in person.

The board praised the staff’s commitment and passion in working to advance the equality and well-being of the LGBTQ+ community.

For their part, the management team found the meeting productive and inspiring; a collaborative platform to further innovate and refine strategies for the work that we do.
