OUT would like to fill a position in its People Who Inject Drugs (PWID) Harm Reduction Demonstration Project.

We are looking to employ a full time driver/security guard. Duties will include:

  • Driving of the mobile unit
  • Security for the mobile unit when parked in an outreach area
  • Security for the outreach workers
  • Transport of PWID to relevant health service providers

The driver/security guard will be out in the field most of the day with two outreach workers. The area targeted will mostly be Pretoria Central. S/he will report to the Project Coordinator. It is important that s/he has the following: a valid driver’s license, fluency in English, experience in security procedures and protocols, have a harm reduction view in working with PWID.

The salary is R5000.00 per month total cost to company. The ideal candidate will work on a full-time basis.
