LGBTI lives have been disregarded and devalued in South African society. Few convictions have been secured in the wake of heinous crimes perpetrated against us.
As we mark the 2020 16 Days of Activism campaign, OUT’s Love Not Hate programme honours the LGBTI fallen heroes and survivors of hate and gender-based violence.
We call on the authorities to offer them dignity and justice. It is time that the hate against our community ends. Our lives matter!
During the 16 Days campaign (26 Nov – 10 Dec) Love Not Hate will post a daily social media image of an LGBTI fallen hero or survivor to ensure that they are not forgotten.
