1) Hate Crimes Manager (for hate crimes against LGBT People)

S/he will be responsible for an overall management of the programme. The programme involves case management of LGBT people who have suffered hate crimes, monthly community building & outreach activities, integrating issues within mainstream service provision and advocacy, especially within the Department of Justice and Constitutional Development Task Team to address violence on the basis of Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity. The position involves management of a small team, budget and funder reports and applications.

Required: A B Degree is essential. Other qualities include maturity, strong project management skills, experience in working with LGBTI issues, specifically provision of direct services and how to integrate this within the mainstream, and a focus on achieving outputs. 

The position is based in Pretoria. It is an initial one-year contract, renewable pending on funding and performance. There is a three-month probation period. 2) Clinic Nurse Coordinator

The Clinic Nurse Coordinator will provide all the needed biomedical services on specified clinic days (weekdays and Saturdays). It includes HCT, ART initiation, PrEP initiation and maintenance, screenings for STI’s and TB and behavior change interventions. In addition, the Clinic Nurse Coordinator will take responsibility for the following:

Ensuring that the Ten81 Clinic is run according to appropriate legislation, regulations and policies

Managing of the OUT Dispensary according to appropriate legislation, regulations and policies

Managing and coordinating of medication orders

Stock Management (including correct storage procedures)

Medical Waste Management

Ensuring that Client Files are kept up to date and filed according to appropriate legislation, regulations and policies

Ensuring that all relevant policies are updated and maintaining updated records of Clinic Resources

3) Outreach nurses – 2 positions: one for MSM and one for PWID (people who inject drugs)

 

An outreach nurse will provide mobile biomedical services with peer outreach teams (varying hours including after hours and week-ends). It includes HCT, ART initiation, PrEP initiation and maintenance, screening for STIs and TB and behavior change interventions. 

Required: Suitable nursing qualification and registration, ability and qualification to dispense and prescribe medicines preferred, and 2 years’ relevant experience.
