The second-oldest LGBT organisation in South Africa, OUT provides stigma-free HIV, sexual health and other services to gay, bisexual and MSM communities. We also work to eradicate LGBT+ hate crimes and discrimination while assisting and supporting victims.
On 23 March, OUT received a visit from SPAR’s 12 Months of Appreciation initiative to find out more about our work in the areas of LGBTQ+ human rights and gender-based violence (GBV).
The initiative interviewed key staff, including OUT’s Human Rights Manager, Lerato Phalakatshela, for a video they will be producing. They also awarded OUT a R10,000 voucher that can be used at any SPAR store and pharmacy.
