Experience required:
• Medical degree with public health background
• Experience in training, mentoring and coaching on improving quality of health promotion interventions, donor relations, as well as strategy and proposal development
• Work experience in big international NGOs and US funding mechanisms
• At least 2 years work experience in advising and supporting partner organisations in development and implementation of health promotion interventions
• Advantage – Experience in working with key populations
Further Requirements
• Advanced understanding of linkages between HIV/AIDS, health, well-being and human rights in SADC
• Willing to occasionally travel in region
• Computer literacy in MS Office Suite is essential
• Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal skills, analytical skills, attention to details
• Be able to work individually as well as part of a team
• Committed and innovative
• Languages: Fluent in English a must, Portugese an advantage
Responsibilities
• Working close in complimentary fashion with Program Manager , team and ad hoc consultants, trainers and researchers
• Providing technical advice on development and implementation of community based assessments
• Providing training on health promotions for LGBTI
• Building capacity of project teams in training workshops
• Facilitating the development of annual implementation plans
• Guiding and monitoring program implementation and consulting with local stakeholders
• Reporting on the regional activities
• Facilitation and coordinating cross organisational learning and information exchange
